Permanent Realm vs. the Closed Speed Realm
RiftMu runs one world: the Permanent Realm — a permanent, long-term MU Online no-wipe server on Season 21 Part 2-3 (CryWolf & Classes Renewal) with a medium EXP rate, 16 classes and a 60,000 stat cap. Nothing you grind ever gets deleted, and the realm never closes. When the Summer 2026 season ended, up to 2 characters per account were exported into the Permanent Realm, where the race continues. Not playing yet? Grab the client and create an account to join the Permanent Realm.
The Speed Realm Summer Edition has ended — here is how the two realms compared while it ran.
| Feature | Permanent Realm | Speed Realm (closed) |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Live — the only realm running right now | Closed — the summer season has ended |
| Realm type | No-wipe server that never closes | Seasonal Summer Edition speed server |
| EXP | Medium rate | Very fast seasonal rate |
| Summer GP bonus | Normal GP packages | Every euro paid 940,000 GP instead of 470,000 while the season ran |
| Max stats | 60,000 | 60,000 |
| Opening / duration | Always online, never wipes | Went live Friday 10 July 2026, ran a few weeks, then closed with an export of up to 2 characters to the Permanent Realm |
| Best for | Your main character and progress that lasts | Blasting through levels so newer players could catch the veterans |
| Start | Classic fresh start | Blood Angel set already in your inventory |
| Jewel drops | Medium rates | Boosted drops of Orange, High Kingz, Emperor, Supreme and Volt Jewels |
| Bosses | Tougher fights | Softer bosses, longer boss windows, bonus jewel drops |
| Icewind Castle | Normal schedule | Ran 8x a day, capped at 20 guild members, extra Volt rewards |
| Monsters / spots | Regular spawn balance | Extra farm spots plus more Kingz and Fire Dragons |
| Vibrant Jewel | Normal drop pool | Could drop from Kingz Dragon and Giant Treasure |
What Made the Speed Realm Different?
| Bonus | Details |
|---|---|
| Starter set | You spawned with a Blood Angel set already sitting in your inventory. |
| Extra drops | High-level monsters handed out extra Orange, High Kingz, Emperor, Supreme and Volt Jewels. |
| More monsters | Extra Kingz and Fire Dragons roamed the maps. |
| Vibrant Jewel | Beating Kingz Dragon or opening a Giant Treasure gave a shot at a Vibrant Jewel. |
| Icewind Castle | Ran 8x a day with a 20-member guild cap and bigger Volt rewards. |
| Bosses | Bosses were softer, stayed up longer and hid new or different jewel drops to find. |
| Farming | Extra spots for leveling and farming. |
| Purpose | Built so fresh players could close the gap on the veterans. |
Boss and event times for the Permanent Realm sit on the events schedule, and the rankings show where everyone landed after the export.
The Rules That Applied on the Speed Realm
These limits counted on the Speed Realm only — the Permanent Realm is not affected.
| Rule | Speed Realm setting |
|---|---|
| Channel 1 | Channel 1 allowed only 1 account per computer. |
| VIP accounts | VIP unlocked 3 accounts per computer; VIP4 and up unlocked 5. |
| Elf PvM | Elf damage against monsters (PvM) was heavily reduced. |
| Realm close + export | The realm closed after its summer run; up to 2 characters per account were exported to the Permanent Realm. |
| Purpose | It existed so newer players could catch the top players. |
