Season 20-21 Jewels: Helix, Kingz, Emperor, Supreme, Volt and Vibrant

Helix, Gold Helix, Kingz, High Kingz, Emperor, Supreme, Volt and Vibrant are the custom high-end jewels used on modern Season 20-21 private servers, including RiftMu, and they power the item upgrades that sit above the classic +15 and excellent-option game. The classic jewels - Bless, Soul, Chaos, Life, Creation and Harmony - are still in the game and still matter for everyday upgrading; the new jewels are the end-game layer stacked on top of them.

The jewel lineup at a glance

Start with this table, then read the family sections below for the practical detail. Where a mechanic differs between servers, it is labeled - exact drop spots and success rates always vary by server, so treat numbers you saw elsewhere with suspicion.

Helix and Gold Helix: the entry point

Helix is the first custom jewel most players stockpile. [Common on private servers] it feeds the early steps of the custom item enhancement chain, and because everyone needs a pile of them, it doubles as a reliable trade currency for buying gear from other players. It drops during normal hunting and from event rewards on both RiftMu realms, so you do not need to change your farming route to accumulate it - just do not vendor or ignore it.

Gold Helix is the upgraded form and drops less often. It is used later in the same enhancement chain, so the practical rule is simple: hoard plain Helix freely, but think twice before trading away Gold Helix early - you will want a reserve when your gear reaches the tier that consumes it.

Kingz and High Kingz: the mid-game workhorses

The Kingz family covers the middle of the custom progression. Kingz Jewels come mainly from boss hunts and event rewards, and they hold their trade value well because mid-game players burn through them constantly. High Kingz is the late-game step above it, and here the realm you play on matters: the Speed Realm Summer Edition has a higher High Kingz drop rate than the Permanent Realm.

The boss connection is worth knowing too. Kingz Dragon is one of the most rewarding hunts on RiftMu - on the Permanent Realm it drops GP (web currency) on top of its item drops, and it is one of only two sources of the Vibrant Jewel. If your guild runs boss timers, keep Kingz Dragon on the rotation; the site's events page tracks boss schedules live with timezone conversion.

Emperor: the Combo Ring jewel

Emperor Jewels have one headline job on RiftMu-era servers: upgrading the Combo Ring. Each upgrade step consumes jewels, so melee and hybrid characters who lean on skill combos should treat Emperor as a priority farm rather than a curiosity. If you do not play a combo-focused character, Emperor Jewels are still worth picking up - combo players will trade well for them, especially while the Speed Realm is open and everyone is racing to upgrade.

Supreme: White Dragon conversion, boosted on RiftMu

Supreme Jewels handle White Dragon conversion - the step that turns high-tier gear into White Dragon-tier gear. On RiftMu specifically, the Supreme to 100% White Dragon conversion is boosted, which makes the jump into White Dragon equipment less punishing than on servers where the conversion odds are left at harsher defaults. Exact conversion mechanics vary by server build, so check the result preview in game before you commit a rare base item.

Supreme matters because White Dragon gear is not the end of the line - it is the raw material for the Volt step below. Every Supreme you farm now is effectively an investment in your eventual Volt/Fury set.

Volt: end-game White Dragon to Volt/Fury gear

The Volt Jewel is the true end-game jewel of the Season 21 era [private implementations vary]. Its main use is on White Dragon-tier items, upgrading them into Volt/Fury gear - the top of the current item ladder. That makes the progression order clear: classic upgrades first, then White Dragon conversion via Supreme, then Volt on top.

Farming Volt is largely a guild activity. The Icewind guild PvP event is a key source, and on the Speed Realm it runs eight times per day with up to 20 guild members and boosted Volt rewards - by far the fastest Volt income while that realm is open. Vibrant: the rare chase drop

Vibrant is the rarest jewel in the lineup on RiftMu. It has exactly two sources: a chance drop from Kingz Dragon and from Giant Treasure. There is no grind route that reliably produces it - you get it by showing up to those two sources consistently. Because supply is so thin, Vibrant commands a premium in player trading, so even if you have no immediate use for one, never leave it on the ground.

Classic jewels: still the foundation

None of the above replaces the classic set. Quick reference, one line each [Official mechanics unless noted]:

• Bless - raises an item's level up to +6 with no risk of downgrade.
• Soul - pushes item level beyond +6 with a chance of failure; luck on the item improves the odds.
• Chaos - the fuel for Chaos Machine combinations, from wings to end-game recipes.
• Life - adds to an item's additional (skill/damage) option in +4 steps.
• Creation - used to create fruits that permanently adjust stat points.
• Harmony - adds a harmony option to an item; refined from Gemstones.
• Guardian and Gemstone - Guardian imprints level-380 gear; Gemstone is the raw stone refined into Harmony.

Farming priorities, realm by realm

RiftMu currently runs two worlds, and your jewel plan should differ between them.

Permanent Realm (5000x EXP, never wipes): medium jewel drop rates and harder bosses. This is where long-term wealth lives, so farm broadly - Helix and Kingz from regular hunting, Emperor and Supreme from boss rotations, Vibrant attempts from Kingz Dragon and Giant Treasure.

Speed Realm Summer Edition (opened 10 July 2026, 99,999x EXP): higher drop rates on the jewels that matter most - High Kingz, Emperor, Supreme and Volt - plus easier bosses with longer boss windows and Icewind eight times daily. The realm closes after a few weeks, and you can export two characters to the Permanent Realm afterwards, so farm end-game jewels aggressively here and plan around that two-character export. Common mistakes

• Treating classic jewels as obsolete. You cannot reach the White Dragon or Volt stage on gear that skipped its Bless/Soul/Harmony groundwork.
• Spending Emperor Jewels blind. Read how the Combo Ring upgrade path works before feeding jewels into it - upgrades consume them permanently.
• Farming end-game jewels on the wrong realm. While the Speed Realm is open, its boosted High Kingz/Emperor/Supreme/Volt drops beat the Permanent Realm for raw jewel income.
• Importing numbers from other servers. Drop rates and conversion odds are server-specific; if a percentage is not shown in game on RiftMu, assume it is different here.
• Skipping Kingz Dragon and Giant Treasure. They are the only Vibrant sources, and Kingz Dragon drops GP on the Permanent Realm besides.
• Selling rare jewels for Zen. Gold Helix, Vibrant and Volt belong in player trades, not NPC shops.
