RiftMu began as two things at once: a high-rate Season 20 x9999 world — Jewel Transform, 5th wings, Dreadnaught Anti-Cheat, weekly Castle Siege — and a plain-English learning hub for MU Online. The server side has since grown into the Season 21 network, while the guide side still helps you understand the game and compare private servers before you commit.
Korean patch notes and buried forum threads are nobody's idea of fun. So the guides here explain Season 20 and Season 21 the simple way: Alchemist builds, Paladin and Crusader tips, wings, jewels, reset systems, Castle Siege tactics, safe client downloads, and how toplists like GTop100, MU Top 100 and Xtremetop100 actually work.
The path is simple: register, grab the client, play — and keep the guides bookmarked. Everything you learn here still applies if you ever try VoltMU, RichMU, SilverMU, FuryMU or another Season 6 / 19 / 20 / 21 world.
Settings of the original RiftMu world
| Experience rates |
Normal XP: 9,999x — the early game raced past. Majestic XP: 99,999x — still quick, but paced so stats and builds kept their weight. |
|---|---|
| Max stats | Max stats started at 60,000, and a boss or PvP specialist could push toward 65,000 with buffs, sockets and stat items. |
| Resets & Grand Resets | Resets and Grand Resets were both unlimited — quick levels first, then an endless climb for extra WCoins, GP and long-term account power. |
| WCoins & rewards | Events, bosses, resets and Grand Resets all paid out WCoins and GP. Core power stayed farmable in-game rather than locked behind payments. |
| Shops & starter items | Shops carried every skill and respectable starter gear for each class — your first session was about testing builds, not begging for equipment. |
| PvM balance | DPS tuning let every class farm properly once its Jewel Transform and wing setup came together, from Illusion Knight to Alchemist-friendly parties. |
| PvP & Castle Siege | The renewed PvP system gave every class a real kill threat; gear and stat choices set your style — control tank, glass cannon or flexible Siege hybrid. |
| Guild events | Castle Siege weekly, Icewind daily, Arca Wars often — plus extra world bosses paying jewels, GP and WCoins. |
Jewels, wings and the Chaos Machine
The Epic Jewel Transform System was the heart of gearing here: beyond plain +level mixes, jewels like Helix and Gold Helix, then Kingz / High Kingz, and finally Emperor, Supreme and Volt reshaped whole sets and wings.
| Combination | Success / notes |
|---|---|
| Chaos Machine core rate | Standard mixes sat at the maximum success setting — zero 10% misery. |
| Items +10 / +11 / +12 | 99% + Luck |
| Items +13 / +14 / +15 | 99% + Luck |
| Wings Lv1–4 | Crafted at high success rates, with optional Elite / VIP Wing Jewel transforms on top. |
| Wings Lv5 & Special 5th wings | Built with Uriel Feathers from Giant Treasure, or upgraded from final-tier wings using VIP jewels. The 5th-wing pool included Wings of Integrity, Extinction, Illusion, Punishment, Boundary, Destiny, Mercy, Eternity and others. |
| Elite & VIP wings | Elite and VIP wings traded freely and gained extra options through Elite / VIP Wing Jewel transforms. |
Notable drops and jewel finds
| Jewel | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| HELIX JEWEL | The everyman jewel: solid odds from any monster on any map, boosted by mini Chaos Cards. |
| GOLD HELIX JEWEL | Sourced via Chaos Cards (Vulcanus), Arca Battle, Blood Castle, Illusion Temple, Kundun, coloured boxes, minibosses and Evomons, plus the Scramble and Baseball events. |
| BLACK JEWEL | Targets: Fire Dragon, the Crywolf Dark Elf, Boss Battle, Labyrinth, Illusion Temple, and Doppelganger with its Mix — backed by a rare Chaos Card roll and stray mobs on Deep Dungeon+ maps. |
| BLUE JEWEL | Available through Gold Chaos Cards, Kundun boxes, silver/gold boxes, Dark Elf, Balgass and Deep Dungeon+ monsters. |
| ORANGE JEWEL | Farmed at Kingz Dragons, in Hide & Seek, at Castle Siege, or crafted via Senior Mix. |
| ELITE WINGS JEWEL | An uncommon sighting from Deep Dungeon maps upward. |
| VIP WINGS JEWEL | Deep Dungeon and above, at genuinely rare odds. |
| HIGH KINGZ JEWEL | Found now and then on Scorched Canyon+ maps and off top bosses; Castle Siege handed both guild masters and their allies a 50% roll. |
| EMPEROR JEWEL | Late-game PvE maps (Tormenta Island upward), top bosses and a low-rate Senior Mix — with a guaranteed copy for the Siege-winning guild master. |
| SUPREME JEWEL | Locked behind Twisted Karutan and the elite bosses: Kingz Dragon, Green Dragon, Fire Dragon and (Elite) Twisted Crypta / Gollock / Condra. |
| VOLT JEWEL | The rarest of all — Scorched Canyon and higher maps only, never bosses — the fuel for the deepest upgrade routes on Season 21-style worlds. |
| WCOINS & GP | Delivered by Giant Treasure, the Icewind Event, Castle Siege, Doppelganger, Acheron, Medusa, Giant Ogre, Fire Dragon, Ice Golem, Kingz Dragon, Poison Tree, Ice Lord Dragon, Nightmare, Red Wolf, Selupan, Hollow Knight, Rathians, Silver Wolf and Lord Silvester, plus Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle. |
