MU Online Item Hunt: Find Out Where Anything Drops

Currencies: Ruud, WCoin and Goblin Points

Items are only half the hunt — the three currencies below gate the mastery gear, the shop stock and the convenience items. Same rule as the drop tables: these numbers are read straight out of the live server files, so what you see here is what the server pays.

Ruud

earned in game

The endgame currency, and the only one you cannot buy — every Ruud on RiftMu comes from killing something, finishing an event, opening a box, resetting, completing a Guide Quest or levelling the MU Pass. It buys sealed Blood Angel gear and the anvils and souls that upgrade it.

Events Worth Running (and Why)

Every event below pays out something you actually want. Times are server time — the events page shows live countdowns.

Blood Castle

starter

When: Permanent Realm: 22 runs a day - every 2 hours from 05:10 to 19:10, then every 30 minutes from 21:10 to 03:40. Speed Realm: 12 runs a day at :37 past every even hour (00:37 to 22:37)

Entry: Invisibility Cloak (Chaos Machine mix, also found in Kundun Box +1 and +2) + level bracket 1-7

The bread-and-butter jewel run. Fast, soloable, and now every clear guarantees jewels + Ruud. Higher castles (BC5-7) pay far more than the low ones, so climb as you level.

Hunt here for: Jewels + guaranteed Ruud every clear (500-1,000 at BC1-2 up to 2,500-5,000 at BC7). BC5 adds a Ruud Box (400), BC6 a Ruud Box (500) + Mastery Box (Standard), BC7 a Ruud Box (1500) + Mastery Box (Greater) + Condor Flame + Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1) - every clear, no roll.

Devil Square

starter

When: Permanent Realm: 22 runs a day - every 2 hours from 05:20 to 19:20, then every 30 minutes from 21:20 to 03:50. Speed Realm: 12 runs a day at :18 past every even hour (00:18 to 22:18)

Entry: Devil's Invitation (Chaos Machine mix of Devil's Eye + Devil's Key, also found in Kundun Box +1 and +2) + level bracket 1-7

Best early XP burst, and placement now actually matters: 1st place pays the most, 4th and 5th the least (the old table had this backwards).

Hunt here for: Jewels scaled by placement + 500-1,000 Ruud at every rank; 1st place adds a Ruud Box (50) or Mastery Box (Standard), 2nd-3rd a Ruud Box (10).

Chaos Castle

mid

When: 12 runs a day, every 2 hours: on the odd hour on the Permanent Realm (01:00 to 23:00), on the even hour on the Speed Realm (00:00 to 22:00)

Entry: Armor of Guardsman (sold in the X-Shop) + level bracket 1-7

Last-player-standing PvP survival. CC7 is now a genuine endgame payout instead of a single jewel.

Hunt here for: Jewels + 500-1,000 Ruud every win (same Ruud at every level); CC4-5 add a Ruud Box (10), CC6 a Ruud Box (50) or Mastery Box (Standard), CC7 a Ruud Box (100) or Mastery Box (Greater) plus a Condor Flame and a Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1).

Doppelganger

mid

When: Permanent Realm: 7 runs a day at 03:30, 07:30, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, 19:30 and 23:30. Speed Realm: 12 runs a day at :40 past every odd hour (01:40 to 23:40)

Entry: Mirror of Dimensions + a party, level bracket 1-7

Room-clearing party event. Interim chests pay out only 4% of the time (otherwise larvae spawn), and every room draws its final chest from the same table - higher rooms just open it more times (x1 in the lowest rooms, up to x3 at the top).

Hunt here for: Interim chest: 2 jewels + 500-1,000 Ruud (+ a Ruud Box (10) from the better chests). Final chest: 2-3 jewels + 500-1,000 Ruud + a Ruud Box (10), or about 1 time in 13 a Ruud Box (50)/Mastery Box (Standard); Condor Flame + Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1) only from the two rarest chests (under 0.01%).

Illusion Temple

mid

When: Permanent Realm: 8 runs a day, every 3 hours from 00:00. Speed Realm: 12 runs a day, every 2 hours on the odd hour (01:00 to 23:00)

Entry: Level bracket, 2 teams of 5

Team relic-carry PvP. Every win pays jewels + Ruud, the higher temples add a box, and the Illusion Temple League tournament win is the endgame payout.

Hunt here for: Jewels + 500-1,000 Ruud every win; temples 2-3 add a Ruud Box (10), temples 4-5 a Ruud Box (50) or Mastery Box (Standard). League match win: 2 jewels + Ruud Box (10); League tournament win: 3 jewels + Ruud Box (100)/Mastery Box (Greater) + Condor Flame + Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1).

Crywolf

endgame

When: Three times daily on both realms (server defense event): announced at 04:00, 12:00 and 20:00, battle 17.5 minutes later

Entry: Open to all — defend the altars

Server-wide defense. On a win, the top heroes and the altar guardians get a real advanced-tier reward - heroes also get a guaranteed Jewel of Skill Power.

Hunt here for: 3 jewels (Bless, Soul, Life, Creation, Chaos or Guardian) + 500-1,000 Ruud + a Ruud Box (50) or Mastery Box (Standard); heroes also get a guaranteed Jewel of Skill Power.

Imperial Guardian / Acheron

endgame

When: Imperial Guardian daily (zone rotates by day of week); Acheron Guardian Sun/Tue/Thu - every 3 hours from 00:07 on the Permanent Realm, at 01:00, 07:00, 11:00, 15:00, 19:00 and 23:00 on the Speed Realm

Entry: Imperial Guardian: Gaion's Order + level 1,000 (the Sunday run needs a Complete Secromicon; it and its six Secromicon Fragments currently have no in-game source)

Guaranteed endgame boxes instead of a token jewel: every clear pays a Ruud Box (100) or Mastery Box (Greater) plus a Condor Flame and a Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1), and Imperial Guardian adds a second bag on top.

Hunt here for: 3 jewels (Bless, Soul, Life, Creation, Chaos, Guardian, Gemstone or Harmony) + 500-1,000 Ruud + a Ruud Box (100) or Mastery Box (Greater) + Condor Flame + Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1) on every clear. Imperial Guardian clears also open a second bag: 3 more jewels + 500-1,000 Ruud + a Ruud Box (50) or Mastery Box (Standard).

Castle Siege / Arca Battle

guild

When: Castle Siege weekly (one 60-minute battle); Arca Battle Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat on both realms - registration opens at 07:00, 11:00, 15:00 and 19:00, battle 12 minutes later

Entry: Registered guild + alliance

The apex guild events. Winning now pays a guild-worthy haul (the old winner bag was just 10 Jewels of Bless with no Ruud).

Hunt here for: Guild masters only. Siege winner: 5 jewels + 500-1,000 Ruud + a Ruud Box (100), Mastery Box (Greater) or Mastery Reward Chest (500) + a Condor Feather or Condor Flame; Arca winner: the same with a flat 10,000 Ruud. Losing masters: 3 jewels + Ruud Box (100)/Mastery Box (Greater) + Condor Flame + Monarch's Crest (Loch's Feather +1), plus 500-1,000 Ruud at Siege or 3,000 at Arca.

World & Event Bosses

endgame

When: On spawn timers / invasions

Entry: Find and tag the boss

Golden Invasion monsters mostly drop a Kundun Box (+1 to +5). Kundun drops 5 excellent +7 to +11 items plus a guaranteed extra +7 to +11 piece; Erohim drops 1 excellent +7 to +11 item plus a guaranteed Errtel, Jewel of Guardian or accessory; Selupan drops one or two +7 to +11 items (excellent on about 28% of kills) plus 2 picks from the Selupan Raid Cache (3rd Wing Relic, Ruud Box (10000), artifact boxes and more); Medusa drops a single jewel on about 74% of kills, a stack of 10 or 20 Bless or Soul on about 22% and a +7 to +11 item on about 4%, plus 2 guaranteed picks from a jewel bundle that also holds the Horn of Fenrir. The clock-spawned custom bosses from Ice Queen up to Abomination, KingZ Lion and Pharaoh pay Ruud on every kill, and WCoin (100-700) on every tier except Ice Queen, Red Wolf and Rathian Ghost.

Hunt here for: Jewels and jewel stacks, Kundun Boxes, excellent gear, Errtels, Ruud Boxes, Jewel of Max HP / All Stats and Mysterious Stones from the custom bosses, and the Volt Jewel (Abomination, KingZ Lion, Pharaoh, Deep Dungeon Gorgon). Condor materials do not drop from world bosses.

Most-Hunted Items and Where to Get Them

The jewel economy runs the server, so here is the short version — the classics everyone farms, with their top sources on RiftMu right now. Use the search above for the complete list of every source.

How This List Stays Honest

Every item on RiftMu has at least one play-to-win source — a map where monsters drop it, a boss that carries it, an invasion that spawns with it, an event that rewards it, or a box you can open for it. This page reads the live Season 21 server files and answers one question: "I want this item — where do I go hunt it?"

Type an item name into the search box at the top of this page. You'll get every source we ship: hunting maps with the exact monsters, world bosses and golden invasions, event reward bags (Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle, Doppelganger and more) and openable boxes. No guesswork, no outdated wiki — if it's in the search, it's in the game.

Press Enter and you land on the item's own page. Every item has a permanent address of its own — riftmu.com/item-hunt/jewel-of-bless, for example — so a hunt can be shared as one link and found from a search engine.

Currencies get their own pages: Ruud, WCoin and Goblin Points each list every source that pays them and everything they buy. Planning what to spend Ruud on first? That is the Ruud guide's job.

Prefer to browse by container? The Bags & Boxes index opens every loot table we ship — each box, boss bag, event reward and login chest gets its own page with everything inside it, real chances, and where to hunt the bag itself.

Where does the data come from?
Straight from the same server files the game runs on: per-map monster drop tables, boss and invasion loot bags, event reward bags and box contents. When we rebalance a drop, this page changes with it.
What do the source types mean?
Map hunt regular monsters on that map — the monster names are listed. World drop drops from any monster in the listed level band, on every map. Daily hunt a per-character daily-limited drop on that map — the cap resets every day. Boss a named boss or event monster carries it. Golden Invasion golden monsters that spawn on a timer. Event a reward bag from finishing that event. Open box the item can roll out of that openable box — the box itself is also searchable, so you can chain backwards to its source.
Where do Ruud, WCoin and Goblin Points come from?
Ruud is pure play-to-win: bosses, event clears, boxes, resets, the Guide Quest chain and the MU Pass seasons all pay it, and it buys the sealed Blood Angel gear and upgrade materials in the Ruud Shop. WCoin is the shop currency — you earn it for time spent online, per kill from bosses and elite monsters, for event wins and from the Icewind Valley and Guild Battle pools, and spend it in the Cash Shop. Goblin Points (Gold Points) are the donation currency: bought on the website and spent on the Gold Point tabs of the Cash Shop — nothing in the game pays them. All three panels above are generated from the same files, so if that changes the page changes with it.
"Excellent possible" / "ancient possible"?
That source can roll the item with excellent options or as an ancient set piece. If a source line says nothing, it drops the plain version.
