MU Online Item Hunt: Find Out Where Anything Drops

Currencies: Ruud, WCoin and Goblin Points

Items are only half the hunt — the three currencies below gate the mastery gear, the shop stock and the convenience items. Same rule as the drop tables: these numbers are read straight out of the live server files, so what you see here is what the server pays.

Ruud

earned in game

The endgame currency, and the only one you cannot buy — every Ruud on RiftMu comes from killing something, finishing an event, opening a box, resetting, completing a Guide Quest or levelling the MU Pass. It buys sealed Blood Angel gear and the anvils and souls that upgrade it.

Events Worth Running (and Why)

Every event below pays out something you actually want. Times are server time — the events page shows live countdowns.

Blood Castle

starter

When: Every ~2 hours, all day

Entry: Invisibility Cloak (from Archangel quest) + level bracket 1-7

The bread-and-butter jewel run. Fast, soloable, and now every clear guarantees jewels + Ruud. Higher castles (BC5-7) pay far more than the low ones, so climb as you level.

Hunt here for: Jewels every run, guaranteed Ruud; BC7 adds Ruud/Mastery boxes, Condor Flame and a Crest of Monarch chance.

Devil Square

starter

When: Every ~2 hours, all day

Entry: Devil's Eye + Devil's Key (or an Invitation) + level bracket

Best early XP burst, and placement now actually matters: 1st place pays the most, 5th the least (the old table had this backwards).

Hunt here for: Jewels scaled by placement + guaranteed Ruud; top placements add a Ruud/Mastery box.

Chaos Castle

mid

When: Several times daily

Entry: Armor / Weapon of Guardsman + level bracket 1-7

Last-player-standing PvP survival. CC7 is now a genuine endgame payout instead of a single jewel.

Hunt here for: Jewels + Ruud every clear; CC6-7 add boxes and (CC7) Condor Flame + Crest of Monarch chances.

Doppelganger (Chaos Castle: Realm of Chaos)

mid

When: Daily, fixed windows

Entry: Old Scroll of Secret / party of the right level

Room-clearing party event. Interim chests now reward every open, and the final chest scales with the room instead of dropping vendor trash.

Hunt here for: Interim jewels + Ruud; final chest adds boxes and, in the highest rooms, Condor materials.

Illusion Temple

mid

When: Daily, fixed windows

Entry: Level bracket, 2 teams of 5

Team relic-carry PvP. Winning the top bracket now pays like endgame content, and a single League match win is a solid jewel stack.

Hunt here for: Jewels + Ruud; higher brackets add boxes; League tournament pays an endgame chest.

Crywolf

endgame

When: Weekly (server defense event)

Entry: Open to all — defend the altars

Server-wide defense. Contributing heroes and the altar guardians now get a real advanced-tier reward.

Hunt here for: Jewel stack (incl. Guardian) + Ruud + a Ruud/Mastery box.

Imperial Guardian / Acheron

endgame

When: Daily rotation by day of week

Entry: Dimension ticket + endgame level

The Ruud farm. These are where you fund your mastery gear, and the bags now pay endgame Ruud + boxes instead of a token jewel.

Hunt here for: Big jewel stack + 150-300 Ruud + Ruud/Mastery boxes + Condor chance.

Castle Siege / Arca Battle

guild

When: Weekly (guild war)

Entry: Registered guild + alliance

The apex guild events. Winning now pays a guild-worthy haul (the old winner bag was just 10 Jewels of Bless with no Ruud).

Hunt here for: 5 jewels + 350-600 Ruud + guaranteed box + Condor Feather chance; losers still get an endgame consolation.

World & Event Bosses

endgame

When: On spawn timers / invasions

Entry: Find and tag the boss

Medusa, Sapi Queen, Selupan, Kundun, Erohim and the Golden invasions drop the big boxes. Several boss bags were dropping nothing 80% of the time — now every kill pays.

Hunt here for: Jewels, Kundun/Ruud boxes, Condor materials depending on the boss tier.

Most-Hunted Items and Where to Get Them

The jewel economy runs the server, so here is the short version — the classics everyone farms, with their top sources on RiftMu right now. Use the search above for the complete list of every source.

How This List Stays Honest

Every item on RiftMu has at least one play-to-win source — a map where monsters drop it, a boss that carries it, an invasion that spawns with it, an event that rewards it, or a box you can open for it. This page reads the live Season 21 server files and answers one question: "I want this item — where do I go hunt it?"

Type an item name into the search box at the top of this page. You'll get every source we ship: hunting maps with the exact monsters, world bosses and golden invasions, event reward bags (Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle, Doppelganger and more) and openable boxes. No guesswork, no outdated wiki — if it's in the search, it's in the game.

Press Enter and you land on the item's own page. Every item has a permanent address of its own — riftmu.com/item-hunt/jewel-of-bless, for example — so a hunt can be shared as one link and found from a search engine.

Currencies get their own pages: Ruud, WCoin and Goblin Points each list every source that pays them and everything they buy. Planning what to spend Ruud on first? That is the Ruud guide's job.

Prefer to browse by container? The Bags & Boxes index opens every loot table we ship — each box, boss bag, event reward and login chest gets its own page with everything inside it, real chances, and where to hunt the bag itself.

Where does the data come from?
Straight from the same server files the game runs on: per-map monster drop tables, boss and invasion loot bags, event reward bags and box contents. When we rebalance a drop, this page changes with it.
What do the source types mean?
Map hunt regular monsters on that map — the monster names are listed. World drop drops from any monster in the listed level band, on every map. Daily hunt a per-character daily-limited drop on that map — the cap resets every day. Boss a named boss or event monster carries it. Golden Invasion golden monsters that spawn on a timer. Event a reward bag from finishing that event. Open box the item can roll out of that openable box — the box itself is also searchable, so you can chain backwards to its source.
Where do Ruud, WCoin and Goblin Points come from?
Ruud is pure play-to-win: bosses, event clears, boxes, resets, the Guide Quest chain and the MU Pass seasons all pay it, and it buys the sealed Blood Angel gear and upgrade materials in the Ruud Shop. WCoin is the shop currency — you earn it for time spent online and from Icewind Valley, and spend it in the Cash Shop. Goblin Points are not in circulation on RiftMu: nothing in the server files pays them and nothing charges them, so the client counter stays at zero. All three panels above are generated from the same files, so if that changes the page changes with it.
"Excellent possible" / "ancient possible"?
That source can roll the item with excellent options or as an ancient set piece. If a source line says nothing, it drops the plain version.
